About All star sports

All Star Sports is a fun, exciting, and entertaining coaching organization bringing a professional level of youth sports programs to local park districts. The instructors believe in passing on the knowledge and skills they have learned from playing and coaching by providing a fun, safe, and structured learning environment. All the coaches are trained professionals and are dedicated to the philosophy of having fun while helping children develop a love for athletics.

winter Basketball - Coming soon for 2024

The following leagues are offered this Winter through the Batavia Park District. Check back for more details.
Improve your skills, make new friends, and come have a ball! This developmental basketball league will be focused on continuing your kids' skill building, knowledge of rules, and love for the game of basketball.
  • Registration deadline is November 6.
  • After the deadline, you will be waitlisted and only placed on a team if numbers allow.
  • Practices start the week of November 27, exact practice evening and location will depend on coach and court availability.
  • Teams will practice once a week for the entire season.
  • Practice times and days will depend on gym and coach availability.
  • Jerseys will be provided.
  • Games will be held on Saturdays and Sundays at the Civic Center starting January 13.
  • Volunteer coaches are needed.

Tuesdays from 1:00-4:00 pm

Wednesdays from 1:00-4:00 pm (Beginners only!)

Wednesdays from 7:00-10:00 pm

Join the exciting sport of pickleball during open gym hours this season! There is a $3 drop-in fee or you may choose to purchase a 10-punch pass for $27. Some minimal equipment will be provided, but you're encouraged to bring your own. First come, first serve.

Beginners Pickleball League: For players new to the game.
Social Pickleball League: For regular players who are looking for more competitive play.
Competitive Pickleball League: For the more competitive player.

Illinois Shotokan Karate Club is the Chicago metropolitan area's premier karate school and is taught under the instruction of John DiPasquale, a four-time National Champion and President of the American Shotokan Karate Association. ISKC's karate classes help develop flexibility, strength, and coordination in fun, yet disciplined activities. Check out the array of Karate classes available for 4 year-olds through adults! Classes are offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in St Charles, Geneva, and Batavia. Sign up quickly because spots fill up!

We offer Shotokan Pre-Karate and Shotokan Karate. Gi uniforms are available for purchase, but are not required. Gi uniforms can be ordered through an instructor or at www.iskc.com and click on the blue equipment order tab or at any athletic store.

Soccer league

This developmental Soccer League introduces young players to the game of soccer, including soccer skills, fundamentals, and playing on a team. This will be a one day per week commitment as teams will practice for half an hour and then play their games immediately after they practice. There will not be goalkeepers and all players will play at least half the game. Players will receive a jersey for the season. Shin guards are required. Volunteer coaches are needed. Batavia softball Leagues

8U-14U Leagues

Improve your skills, make new friends, and play ball! This league is played with Geneva and Sugar Grove Park Districts and will require some travel for games. For 10U, 12U, and 14U teams, the season will conclude with a single game elimination playoff. Please provide a jersey and pant size as well as what school your child attends at registration.

  • Registration deadline is March 15, 2024
  • Players will receive a full uniform: top, pants, visor and socks
  • After the deadline, you will be waitlisted and only placed on a team if numbers allow
  • Practices begin early April, weather pending. Days, times, and locations will be determined by your coach and field availability
  • Games begin in May
  • Each player is required to have own helmet. Helmets can be purchased for an additional $21, please specify during registration, or privately
  • Age cut-off is based on participant's age as of December 31, 2023
  • Volunteer coaches are needed
6U League
Join us for the 6U spring softball league! All teams will practice for a half-hour and play their games immediately afterward. A uniform top, visor and socks will be provided for each player. The league will use a tee similar to a traditional tee-ball. All girls must bring their own glove and any kind of shoe may be worn. Volunteer coaches are needed.

red ball tennis

Players will develop agility, balance, basic movement patterns, forehand and backhand groundstrokes, serves, returns, volleys, court positioning, and scoring. Ages 4-7.

Orange ball tennis

Players will develop agility, coordination, dynamic balance, movement patterns, court positioning, scoring, and reliable technique on forehand, backhand, serve, and volleys. Ages 8-10.
jr. development tennis
This program is for middle and high school players based upon age and ability. Players will develop agility, coordination, dynamic balance, movement patterns, court positioning, scoring, and reliable technique on forehand and backhand, serve, return, and volley. Ages 11-18.
Orange ball elite tennis
Players will develop advanced shot selection, use of angles, emerging strengths, prepare for orange ball play and begin to transition to green ball. Ages 8-10.

Volunteer coaches are needed for a number of youth park district leagues including softball, basketball, soccer and more - if you are interested or know someone interested, or would like more information on volunteer coaching expectations, please email nathanielj@bataviaparks.org. Coaches will need to fill out a volunteer application form as well successfully pass a background check.
