The Fox River Trail is located on both sides of the Fox River as it runs through the district. In fact, the trail extends north as far as the Illinois/Wisconsin state line and south, well beyond the City of Aurora. The Fox River Trail also connects to the DuPage County Prairie Path. The trail is open all year long to accommodate recreation experiences of all types. It can also be used by groups who sponsor walkathons, bikeathons, or running races.

Any one wishing to reserve a portion of the trail for these purposes must contact the trail coordinator at the District office at 630-879-5235.
