The Batavia Park District partners with Red Oak Nature Center in Batavia to bring you opportunities to participate in nature programming, such as nature themed story time, cave hikes, special earth-friendly events, and more!

Sno'much fun kit
The Sno'Much Fun Kit includes a snow globe craft, an indoor light-up snowball fight game, a coupon for a snowshoe rental at Red Oak Nature Center, information on tracks in the winter, a pasta snowflake craft, and a link to an interactive video all put inside a Red Oak Nature Center backpack. The fee is $15. Please indicate when you register if you will pick up your kit at Red Oak Nature Center or the Batavia Civic Center. You will be contacted when your kit is ready.

Lucky leprechaun hunt

March 13-18
We have shenanigans in our woods - the Leprechaun has been spotted and you can go seek his pot of gold! Purchase the digital clues to see if you can find him or his pot of gold somewhere on the grounds of Red Oak! The search is on from March 13-18. A small prize will be the reward for the lucky finders of this sneaky forest friend. Adults do not need to register but must accompany registrants. Cost is $8 per child. An email with a link to the clues will be emailed after 3:00 pm on March 13. Contact roprograms@fvpd.net with questions.
