Tue November 6, 2018

Chicago, IL – The Batavia Park District has been awarded a 2018 Top Workplaces honor by The Chicago Tribune. The Top Workplaces lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by Energage, LLC a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including Alignment, Execution, and Connection, just to name a few.

On November 2, the Batavia Park District was recognized as one of the area’s most dynamic and supportive local businesses by the Chicago Tribune in its special “Top Workplaces 2018” issue. The Friday, November 2 special edition of the newspaper identified the Chicago companies chosen for recognition by its employees. All winners were honored during the Top Workplaces 2018 event, held at Soldier Field’s exclusive United Club on Thursday, November 1.

A total of 150 businesses receive this recognition, spread across three categories: small, mid-size, and large. This is the third year in a row that the Batavia Park District has received this honor and Batavia was named #46 out of 65 recognized businesses in the small business category.

“We are proud to be recognized as one of the Chicago Tribune's Top Workplaces for the third consecutive year. This distinction comes straight from our employees which send a strong message to our community that we have a first-class organization. This is confirmation that our employees feel inspired and respected and that they are provided with the training and resources they need to do exceptional work for the benefit of our community. Congratulations to all of our employees for creating a strong, internal culture which is the cornerstone of a creative, productive and innovative workplace environment! ,” stated Executive Director, Allison Niemela.
