Hall Quarry Beach reopens May 25 for the 2024 summer season

Wed May 15, 2024

Life is better at the beach. Hall Quarry Beach, Batavia’s favorite summer destination, reopens on Saturday, May 25, to kick off Memorial Day weekend and the unofficial beginning of summer. The Quarry will host special summer events, swim lessons and will also be available for private rentals.

Season passes remain on sale at discounted, preseason rates through Friday, May 24. Passes are available for purchase online at Bataviaparks.org or at one of the District’s two community centers, the Civic Center at 327 W. Wilson, and Eastside Community Center at 14 N. Van Buren. Please note: Passes are not available for purchase at Hall Quarry Beach. Visit bataviaparks.org/harold-hall-quarry-beach for more information on passes and rates.

Hall Quarry Beach has all the amenities for a day of fun in the sun. The zero-depth edge allows for easy access while the kids flume, a diving tower and drop slide provide adventurous entry into the water. Also returning this summer are bouncy inflatables for heightened beach time fun. Throughout the summer, sand volleyball courts will be open for spirited pick-up games.

A shaded picnic area is the perfect spot to relax and the Quarry’s concession stand will be open, featuring a host of hot and cold food and beverage options including Slush Puppie frozen treats.

Summer makes a splash with four fun aquatic center special events. Wacky Water Olympics are back June 10 from 12:30-4 p.m. Summer heats up with the new Tween Eras Night on June 13 (pre-registration required), Christmas in July with Santa July 19 and So Long Summer Swim Aug. 9.

In the event of inclement weather, the Quarry will close. To check on these weather updates, visit the Rainout Line at bataviaparks.org. Residents and visitors may sign up for text alerts by texting “follow #quarry” to (630) 879-5235.
