Batavia's beloved Egg Hunt moves to Clark Island in 2025

Thu April 10, 2025

Batavia egg hunters will have a new location to explore for this year’s annual Batavia Park District Egg Hunt on April 12.

The annual hunt moves to Clark Island Recreational Area,401 S. River St., this year as part of the park district’s Community Party and Ribbon Cutting to celebrate new and revamped amenities. The 10 a.m. Egg Hunt will kick off a morning of fun activities, including a photo opportunity with the bunny, bounce houses, crafts, a story walk, Touch-A-Truck and skateboarding, bike track and fishing demos.

As in previous years, children ages 2-8 will have the opportunity to hunt brightly colored eggs filled with candy and prizes. This year’s egg hunt will be divided by age groups for ages 2, 3-4 and 5+ so all little hunters get their chance to gather eggs. Please bring a bag or basket to collect eggs.

The egg hunt is sponsored by Goldfish Swim School.

Families should plan to arrive at the park early, by 9:30 a.m., as there will be no on-site parking at Clark Island. All parking is remote and requires a 10-15-minute walk. Please park at the VFW, (645 S. River St.) and BEI (140 First St.) parking lots; overflow parking is available at Hall Quarry Beach with a shuttle to Clark Island. Limited handicapped parking is available at Clark Island Area; must display license plate or temporary tag for access.
