New program lineup for 2025!
We are partnering with Geneva Park District to provide a new slate of exciting performing arts programs for age 4 through adults at Playhouse 38 Theatre in Geneva. Programs give children, teens and adults an outlet to be creative and expressive and have fun.

Join us for a bit of improv fun! Over a few rehearsals, learn the basics of improv acting or brush off your old improv skills. No experience necessary, and all skill levels are welcome. Traditional improv games and exercises will be reviewed and rehearsed, culminating to a final performance for family and friends. Think quick, work as a team and let your inhibitions go! Rehearsals: Sundays, March 23-April 14 from 1-3 p.m. and Friday, April 18, from 7-9 p.m. Performance: Saturday, April 19 at 7 p.m. Ticket: $15 in advance, $20 day-of Dont miss monthly Improv Meetups! Little actors and actresses will use their imagination to explore the world of theater. Students will learn through fun acting games, high-energy movement exercises and silly vocal techniques.
Students have the opportunity to sing and dance some of their favorite songs. A small performance for parents will take place during the last class of the session.
Aspiring actors can build skills like public speaking and confidence through vocal and movement exercises, improvisation and character development. Class will culminate in a performance of scenes from popular plays and movies.
Join in the fun and explore the world of musical theater. Participants will have a chance to perform songs from a show, focusing on acting, singing and movement. Young actors will dive into characterization, reading scenes, improvisation, vocal techniques and body awareness.
Have fun discovering characters, settings and stories using your imagination. Exercises in improv and theater games will help create a fun and imaginative atmosphere for young actors to tap into their creative side. A small demonstration for parents will take place during the last class of the session.
This program is for those interested in the technical side of theater. Participants will assist with the spring 2025 youth play, title to be determined. Rehearsals: Tuesdays ,Wednesdays and Thursdays from 6-8p.m., May 27-30 Performances: May 30 at 7 p.m., May 31 at 3 and 7 p.m. and June 1 at 3 p.m. Tech assistants will be called to theater approximately 1 hour before showtime.

Unfortunately, nobody in the city knows who the witch is, or why she has placed the curse on the town. With the help of her friends, Giselle and Winona, 10-year-old Tilly sets out on an adventure to figure out who the mystery witch is, how to get through the curses trials, and how the power of the community can save even the most desperate of towns. This grand and dream-tweaked comedy is about violence and legacy, art and activism, feminism and terrorism, compatriots and chosen sisters, and how we actually go about changing the world.
