About All star sports

All Star Sports is a fun, exciting, and entertaining coaching organization bringing a professional level of youth sports programs to local park districts. The instructors believe in passing on the knowledge and skills they have learned from playing and coaching by providing a fun, safe, and structured learning environment. All the coaches are trained professionals and are dedicated to the philosophy of having fun while helping children develop a love for athletics.

Beginning Archery

This is the perfect class if you have never shot a bow before or it has been a number of year since you have. This is an introduction to archery and archery safety. USA Archery certified instructors will teach you basics and how to be safe.


Intermediate Archery

This class is a follow up to Beginning Archery and the next level or archery progression. Archers will refine their skills learned in Beginning Archery and learn how to shoot at further range.

Join us for the 17th year of byf!

The foundation of BYF is built on teaching kids the fundamentals of football, good sportsmanship, good citizenship, and teamwork in a fun and rewarding environment. 1st & 2nd graders will play touch, 3rd-6th graders play flag, and 7th & 8th graders will play tackle. 1st-6th grade teams typically practice one night during the week with games on Saturday mornings. A jersey and mouthpiece will be issued. Training for coaches is provided.

Important dates for 2020

- May 19: equipment pick-up at 3:15 pm at Rotolo Middle School Upper Gym
- August 11: BYF 7th/8th grade parent meeting at 7:00 pm at Rotolo Middle School
- August 15: League-wide practice and jersey distribution at Batavia High School
- August 22: League-wide practice, 7th/8th grade scrimmage, and hot dog tailgate

Class information

Want to wield a sword? Enjoy competitive fun safely without 'fighting.' This class offers students the basic understanding of attach and defense in fencing. Family members receive a 50% discount when registering together.

new equipment procedure

Fencing is a sport that already practices social distancing! However, in an abundance of caution and to prevent the spread of COVID-19, fencers will now be asked to either purchase or rent a set of equipment for the season. To rent equipment, please contact Fencing Sports Club at 630-678-0035 to share body size. You can pick up your equipment during the first class session. If you are interested in purchasing equipment, Fencing Sports Club can help direct you to Blue Gauntlet.

River city lacrosse

This program is designed for every level of player, with the program focus on sportsmanship, fundamentals, and team play. Teams meet 1-3 times a week depending on age. All River City practices are centrally located. Each location has a River City director on-site to ensure quality and assist in team practices.

Family Open Gym

Spend the afternoon with your family shooting hoops, staying active, and having fun! Drop-in fee is $5 per person or purchase a 10-punch pass for $30. No open gym on Sunday, July 5.

Join the exciting sport of pickleball during open gym hours this season! There is a $3 drop-in fee or you may choose to purchase a 10-punch pass for $27 or a Summer Season Pass for $128. Some minimal equipment will be provided, but you're encouraged to bring your own.

Illinois Shotokan Karate Club is Chicagoland's premier karate school taught under the instruction of John DiPasquale, a four-time National Champion, US National Coach and President of the US National Karate Federation. ISKC's karate classes help develop flexibility, strength, and coordination in fun, yet disciplined activities.

We offer Karate for Tots, Shotokan Pre-Karate, and Shotokan Karate.

fall softball league

Improve your skills, make new friends, and play ball! The fall season will be a bit different this year, with new rules and guidelines to keep everyone safe!
  • The season will start the first week of August, a few weeks earlier than normal.
  • Each girl will receive her own helmet that she can keep throughout her playing days in Batavia.
  • The season will begin with a few weeks of practice, and games will begin in mid-August.
  • A single game elimination playoff will conclude the season for the 10u and 12u leagues in mid-October.
  • The league will be played with Sugar Grove and Geneva Park Districts. Some light travel will be required for those games.
  • Please register by July 27. After that date, those registering will automatically be added to the waitlist and assigned a team if space allows.

red ball tennis
Players will develop agility, balance, basic movement patterns, forehand and backhand groundstrokes, serves, returns, volleys, court positioning, and scoring. Ages 4-7.
Orange ball tennis

Players will develop agility, coordination, dynamic balance, movement patterns, court positioning, scoring, and reliable technique on forehand, backhand, serve, and volleys. Ages 8-10.
jr. development tennis
This program is for middle and high school players based upon age and ability. Players will develop agility, coordination, dynamic balance, movement patterns, court positioning, scoring, and reliable technique on forehand and backhand, serve, return, and volley. Ages 11-18.
Orange ball elite tennis
Players will develop advanced shot selection, use of angles, emerging strengths, prepare for orange ball play and begin to transition to green ball. Ages 8-10.

Batavia Travel Softball

Batavia Travel Softball provides a practical and positive experience for players in a competitive environment. We have teams at the 12U, 14U, and 16U level. Teams play and practice year round and are involved in games and tournaments in the fall and spring/summer seasons. For more information, please email us at nathanielj@bataviaparks.org.

We welcome, and count on, volunteer coaches for our youth sports programs, such as Travel Softball and Batavia Youth Football. If you are interested in being a volunteer coach, please call 630-406-5282.
