About All star sports

All Star Sports is a fun, exciting, and entertaining coaching organization bringing a professional level of youth sports programs to local park districts. The instructors believe in passing on the knowledge and skills they have learned from playing and coaching by providing a fun, safe, and structured learning environment. All the coaches are trained professionals and are dedicated to the philosophy of having fun while helping children develop a love for athletics.

Beginning Archery

This is the perfect class if you have never shot a bow before or it has been a number of year since you have. This is an introduction to archery and archery safety. USA Archery certified instructors will teach you basics and how to be safe.


Intermediate Archery

This class is a follow up to Beginning Archery and the next level or archery progression. Archers will refine their skills learned in Beginning Archery and learn how to shoot at further range.

Join us for the 17th year of byf!

The foundation of BYF is built on teaching kids the fundamentals of football, good sportsmanship, good citizenship, and teamwork in a fun and rewarding environment. 1st & 2nd graders will play touch, 3rd-6th graders play flag, and 7th & 8th graders will play tackle. 1st-6th grade teams typically practice one night during the week with games on Saturday mornings. A jersey and mouthpiece will be issued. Training for coaches is provided.

Important dates for 2020

- May 1: registration deadline, after deadline is $40 late fee
- May 19: equipment pick-up at 3:15 pm at Rotolo Middle School Upper Gym
- August 11: BYF 7th/8th grade parent meeting at 7:00 pm at Rotolo Middle School
- August 15: League-wide practice and jersey distribution at Batavia High School
- August 22: League-wide practice, 7th/8th grade scrimmage, and hot dog tailgate

River city lacrosse

This program is designed for every level of player, with the program focus on sportsmanship, fundamentals, and team play. Teams meet 1-3 times a week depending on age. All River City practices are centrally located. Each location has a River City director on-site to ensure quality and assist in team practices.

Open Gyms for Winter 2020

Family Open Gym

Spend the afternoon with your family shooting hoops, staying active, and having fun! Drop-in fee is $5 per person or purchase a 10-punch pass for $30. No open gym on Sunday, March 29.

Pickleball Open Gym

Join the exciting sport of pickleball during open gym hours this season! There is a $3 drop-in fee or you may choose to purchase a 10-punch pass for $27 or a Winter Season Pass for $95. Some minimal equipment will be provided, but you're encouraged to bring your own. No open gym on Monday, January 20.

Illinois Shotokan Karate Club is Chicagoland's premier karate school taught under the instruction of John DiPasquale, a four-time National Champion, US National Coach and President of the US National Karate Federation. ISKC's karate classes help develop flexibility, strength, and coordination in fun, yet disciplined activities.

General information

  • League play begins on April 14, with 2-3 weeks of practice with your team. Practice days, times, and locations will be determined by the head coach and field availability.
  • Games begin in early may and will be scheduled Monday - Friday evenings, typically beginning at 5:45 pm and on Saturdays.
  • Games are played in Batavia, Geneva, and Sugar Grove.
  • For 10U and 12U leagues, one umpire will be scheduled and provided by the league. In the occasion there is no umpire, each team will furnish one adult to umpire.
  • Each girl is a provided a uniform (shirt, pants, and socks).
  • Teams are created by grade in school, allowing kids to play with other kids they know.
  • The age cutoff for each level is determined by the participants age based on 12/31/19.

Batavia Travel Softball

Batavia Travel Softball provides a practical and positive experience for players in a competitive environment. We have teams at the 12U, 14U, and 16U level. Teams play and practice year round and are involved in games and tournaments in the fall and spring/summer seasons. For more information, please email us at nathanielj@bataviaparks.org.
