Join Registered Dietitian Mary and her Garden Plate Team for a garden to plate cooking experience! Young chefs will whip up some tasty farm to table snacks, entrees and desserts using some local ingredients. Come to cook and share in tasting the delicious treats cooked up during class. No Bake Desserts: A Kids Cooking Class 282102

In this class, students will focus on reading recipes, learning how to properly measure, using kitchen equipment properly and trying new foods. Foods may be tasted on site as well as brought home to share with others. Recipes done in class will be Fruit Skewers, 2 Fruit Dips and Oreo Cookie Truffles.

The students in this class will learn the fundamentals of baking: reading recipes, measuring ingredients, following directions, mixing techniques and baking in some creativity. No nut products are used in recipes. Taste testing and packing up leftovers will happen on site.
