CALL FOR ARTISTS | Digital Mural Design Proposal
The Batavia Park District is seeking proposals from qualified artists or artist teams for an exciting public art opportunity: the creation of a digital mural design for the Batavia Pedestrian Ramp project.
Titled “Peace Out Batavia!”, this large-scale mural will become a vibrant visual landmark adjacent to the “Peace on Earth” pedestrian bridge and Peace Plaza in downtown Batavia, IL. The design will help transform a highly visible gateway along the Fox River Bike Trail into a welcoming, community-driven art experience for residents and visitors alike.
Project Overview
- Digital mural design services only (no materials or installation required)
- Final design will be translated into a paint-by-number format across 53 individual panels
- Painting will be completed through a community engagement initiative running late June through August 2026
- Location: U-shaped pedestrian and bicycle ramp connecting the Fox River Bike Trail to downtown Batavia
