Basketball
Boys and girls learn new skills and make new friends on the court in our basketball leagues, programs and camps. While learning the rules of the game, kids build teamwork and social skills along with self-confidence and discipline. Basketball leagues run late November through March and games are played at the Civic Center gym.

Kindergarten League
- For players of all skill levels
- Meets for one hour on one day each week
1st & 2nd Grade League
- Focuses on skill building
- Meets for one hour on one day each week
3rd-8th Grade Leagues
- Players are assigned to a league based on age
- Team practice once a week for the entire season
- Games are held Saturdays and Sundays at the Civic Center
Jr Basketball
- For ages 3-4 and 4-6
- Covers dribbling, passing and shooting plus offense and defense
- Challenges are added as players grow their skills
Basketball Skills
- For ages 7-9
- Focuses on speed and agility drills to improve quick movement
- Players work on ball handling, shooting, footwork and offense and defense
Basketball Camp
- For ages 6-8 and 9-12
- Focuses on skill advancement, teamwork and a positive attitude
- Includes stretching, drills and strategy sessions
- Basketballs are provided

About Program
This instructional program teaches the basic skills of basketball while making sure all players stay active and engaged! We will work on dribbling with both hands, passing and shooting techniques, and understanding basic offense and defense techniques. All players learn the basic mechanics and build confidence, and we’ll add larger challenges as we progress. Please bring a water bottle.

About Program
The All Star Basketball trainers will focus on individual skills as well as team play. Each session will begin with speed and agility drills that will enhance each players ability to get up and down the court quickly, generate rapid change of direction, and creates explosion to the basket. These sessions will cover ball handling, proper shooting technique, footwork, and defensive/offensive strategies. Small sided competitions and game play will enable each player to focus and work on learned skills. . Equipment: Please bring a water bottle

Practices
Kindergarten and 1st & 2nd Grade leagues practice and play for an hour once a week. 3rd-8th-grade leagues practice weekly and play games on weekends.
