Volleyball

Volleyball classes for ages 5-12 get players acquainted with all aspects of the game. Tiny Twisters teaches ages 5-8 on fundamentals, and Volleyball Skills and Drills focuses on skill progression. Classes are offered in winter, spring, summer and fall and are held at the Eastside Community Center Gym. Instructors are provided by Cyclones Volleyball Club.

Tiny Twisters
  • For ages 5-8
  • Offered in spring, summer, fall and winter
  • Covers fundamentals such as passing, setting and serving
  • Lessons are presented in fun and engaging activities
Volleyball Skills and Drills
  • For ages 9-12
  • Helps players develop a basic understanding of the game
  • Covers basic skill progressions of serving, passing, setting, attacking and blocking
  • Players learn proper form, technique and an appreciation for the sport

Getting started with volleyball

    Equipment

    Bring a water bottle. If you have your own ball, please bring it.

    Class location

    Classes are held in the J. Murphy Gym at the Eastside Community Center.

    Staff from Cyclones Volleyball Club teach the classes.

    Class times

    Tiny Twisters meet at 4:30 p.m. Skills and Drills met at 5:30 p.m. Classes are an hour long.
