Fox Trail Park Playground Renovation
Exciting improvements are coming to Fox Trail Park!
This fall, the Batavia Park District will begin transforming the Fox Trail Park playground into a vibrant new play destination designed to serve children and families for years to come. The new playground will feature modern, inclusive play opportunities that encourage climbing, exploration, imagination and active outdoor recreation.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the community input process. More than 65 residents attended our public meeting in May to share ideas and help select the final playground design. Your feedback played an important role in shaping the project, and we appreciate the community’s enthusiasm and involvement.
Construction is scheduled to begin in early fall. During construction, portions of the park may be temporarily closed to ensure the safety of visitors and construction crews. We appreciate your patience as these exciting improvements take shape.
The playground renovation is anticipated to be completed in winter 2026, with the new playground opening as soon as weather conditions allow. We look forward to welcoming families back to enjoy a refreshed play space that encourages fun, discovery and community connection.
