Bid Information
The Batavia Park District regularly posts Invitations to Bid (ITB), Requests for Proposals (RFP), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), and Statements of Interest (SOI) online for public review and download. These opportunities help us work with vendors, contractors, and service providers to improve our parks and programs. All formal bids and request for proposals are always published in our local newspaper a minimum of (2) weeks prior to the bid opening date as a Public Notice.

Bid Openings
- All formally advertised bids are opened and read publicly.
- Openings are held at:
Batavia Park District Civic Center
327 W. Wilson Street, Batavia, IL 60105 - The date, time, and location for each bid opening are provided in that bid’s Legal Ad Notice.
Submission Guidelines
- Office Hours for Delivery: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. (closed on holidays)
- Format: Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked with:
- Bid number
- Name of the bid
- Date and time of the scheduled opening
- Deadline: Bids must arrive before the opening date and time. Late submissions will not be considered
After the Opening
Once bids are opened and read publicly, they are:
- Tabulated and reviewed by the Batavia Park District.
- Evaluated based on the criteria outlined in the solicitation documents.
- Recommended for award to the Park District Board of Commissioners for final approval.
Special Requirements
Some bids may require:
- Bid bonds or performance bonds
- Prequalification with supporting documentation
