This park is jointly owned by the Batavia and Geneva Park Districts and is a great open space area. Primarily designed as a detention basin, the site is heavily drained so water moves off very quickly following heavy rains. It is a perfect site for open play by neighbors as well as a practice spot for area soccer and baseball teams.

Shanahan Grove is truly one of our most passive naturalized park areas. Its only development is a foot path connecting Stewart Ct. on the north with Cleveland Ave. on the south. Otherwise it is home to a lovely stand of hardwood trees and a stretch of Mahoney Creek. Since the park also serves a storm water detention function, the majority of the site will always remain undeveloped. It will remain as an open green space in the midst of its neighborhood.
This unique site connects three different neighborhoods together. The park features two playground areas. One area is designed with two to six year old's in mind with smaller slides and climbing structures. While the other playset serves the seven to twelve year old age group with bigger slides, complicated climbing structures and monkey bars. The park also contains a mini-shelter and an asphalt walking path. As with all of our newer parks in the system, Saratoga was designed with the cooperation of a neighborhood focus group.
This site was designed in cooperation with the Batavia School District, Batavia Youth Baseball and the Tri-Cities Soccer Association making it truly a community park. The memorial greenway is named after Philip B. Elfstrom, a Batavia leader, visionary businessman who played a crucial role in creating Kane County bike paths along abandoned rail lines. This park is part of the Fox River Trail.
The park is named after Peter Frieders, the original farmer who purchased and cared for the land with his family in the late 1860’s. This park was created as an opportunity to offer individuals and families an open space to walk their dog, enjoy a picnic or even throw around a football.
This park connects via a path to Fidler Farm Park.
Named for the first settler of Batavia, this oak savannah woodland remnant takes us back to the early days of Batavia. With its playground, soft and hard surface walking paths and partially restored wetland, this site provides the surrounding area with unique recreational opportunities.
Dedicated in July of 1997, Millview is one of thirteen neighborhood parks in the district. The park features an accessible playground, basketball court, open field and a mini-shelter. The playground features slides, climbing structures, monkey bars and swings. The open field is the perfect place to throw around a frisbee or play a friendly game of soccer. The mini shelter is a great way to take a break from the fun and enjoy a small picnic. As with all of our newest parks, this one was designed in cooperation with a neighborhood focus group.
