About Big Woods Park
Named Batavia Park Districts 2025 Park Madness winner, Big Woods is a fan favorite. With a baseball diamond, basketball court, bicycle path, parking lot, picnic area, playground, restrooms, soccer fields, softball fields, tennis courts, walking/jogging path and the largest rentable picnic shelter that the district owns. The shelter has access to water, electricity and grills. If interested in reserving the shelter, contact the district office at (630) 879-5235.
Big Woods Park has a large parking lot and is within walking/biking distance from Prairie Path Park. There are three entrances to the park; one off Raddant Rd., one off Tierney Ln., and one off Burnham Ln.

Large Playground
Big Woods Park is home to one of the largest playgrounds in Batavia. It offers a variety of equipment for children of all ages and abilities. With multiple slides, accessible swings, climbing structures, and interactive play areas, it provides endless opportunities for fun and adventure.

Trails & Paths
A scenic 0.62-mile asphalt path winds through the park, providing a perfect spot for walking, jogging or biking. The beautiful path is the perfect way to enjoy a peaceful stroll or get a quick workout in.

Big Woods Park offers a variety of sports facilities to cater different interests. The park features a baseball diamond, a softball field, a basketball court and three double sized tennis courts, which can also be used for pickleball.

The park features the largest picnic shelter the district owns. Big Woods Park is the perfect place for your next family reunion, get-together or special picnic. All pavilions are first come first serve basis and can be reserved ahead.
