About Callahan Community Center
The community center features rooms for rent downstairs and upstairs for groups of 40 in a full room rental and 24 in a half room rental. The downstairs River Room and the upstairs Sky Loft have windows along the northern wall, giving guests a breathtaking view of the Batavia Riverwalk and Depot pond, plus the Depot Museum and Peg Bond Center. These rooms feature state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems, plus a sink and mini-fridge. Tables and chairs are also available. Staff will be onsite during rentals.

Meeting and event space
The Callahan Community Center features upstairs and downstairs rooms to rent. Both the downstairs River Room and the upstairs Sky Loft boast beautiful views of the Batavia Riverwalk and Depot Pond. Capacity is 40 people each room for a full room or 24 people each room for a half room.

ADA accessible bathrooms
The first floor has a men's and ladies room each with three stalls and two sinks. The second floor has two private all-gender bathrooms.

Tech package
A tech package for both the upstairs and downstairs rooms gives you access to four TVs with wi-fi capability for a full rental and two TVs for a half-room rental.

Front desk staff will be available during your rental for questions and assistance.
Rent a room at the Callahan Community Center
Callahan Community Center rooms are rented by the hour between 6 a.m. and 10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 6 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday-Saturday. They can be rented as a half room or a full room. Please include setup and teardown in your rental time.
Day rate is a rental of 8 hours or more. Rental includes tech package, table and chairs, sink and mini fridge and on-site staff.
Frequently asked questions
Will I be charged a deposit?
A damage deposit of $300 is required for Callahan Center room rentals. It will be returned after the rental if there is no damage to Park District property.
Can we decorate the rooms in Callahan Community Center?
You may bring decorations, however, tape is not allowed on the walls or surfaces.
Can we have balloons?
Only air-filled balloons are permitted.
Can we serve food during the rental?
Yes.
Can we serve alcohol?
Yes. When filling out the rental agreement, renter must specify that alcohol will be served and request Dram Shop instructions and a special use permit. Cost of Dram Shop insurance will be $70-$250 depending on the size and type of event. If serving alcohol, renters must be age 21 or older and pay an additional refundable damage deposit of $500.
What is included in the tech package?
You will have access to the projector and TV using the ports in the walls.
Is a microphone included in the tech package?
No. You must bring your own microphone.
Does the facility have wi-fi?
Yes, wi-fi is included using the BatPar-Guest ID with no password.
Can we connect wirelessly to the TV or projector?
No. Wireless connection is not included in the package.
Can we charge admission to our event?
No.
