Weather at Hall Quarry Beach

Hall Quarry Beach is open whenever the weather allows for safe swimming. The safety of our guests is our top priority, and we may close the beach during storms or poor conditions.

Pricing for the 2025 Season

The Park District reserves the right to reduce beach operations/amenities or close the beach due to inclement weather, low attendance or low staff. Refunds will not be issued due to weather conditions, attendance or scheduled programming/events.

You may purchase season passes in person at the Civic Center or at the Eastside Community Center or online. Last year’s season pass holders also may renew their pass online by logging into their account. 

Season passes may not be purchased at the Quarry.

*A family is defined as parents and their children, ages 3-23, who are full-time students. Individuals ages 18-23 must provide proof of full-time student status at the time of a pass purchase to be included on a family pass. Individuals 24 and older, and other relatives or persons in the same household, are excluded from a family pass. Children ages 2 and under are free.

What is included at Hall Quarry Beach?

Hall Quarry Beach includes a sand-bottom swimming area, water slides, a diving board, a zero-depth entry pool, and picnic areas.

What are the rules at Hall Quarry Beach?

Children 12 years of age or younger must be accompanied by a responsible person 16 years of age or older. Lifeguards are on duty to enforce rules and respond in case of an emergency. No smoking is allowed at the Quarry.

Can I bring food into the facility?

Yes, outside food and drinks are allowed. However, glass containers and alcohol are not permitted.

How do I know if the pool is closed due to inclement weather?

Closure updates will be posted on our website and social media. You can also call the facility for the latest information.

When will swim lessons be canceled?

Swim lessons may be canceled due to thunder, lightning, or unsafe conditions. We will notify you via email and update our website.

Can I re-enter the facility if I leave?

Yes, you may re-enter the facility on the same day. Please keep your wristband or receipt for readmission.

Can I swim in the deep end?

Swimmers must pass a swim test to access the deep end.

What are the requirements for children who are not toilet trained?

Children who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers at all times while in the water.

What swim accessories are not allowed at the Quarry?

Inflatable floaties, water wings, and large pool toys are not allowed. Coast Guard-approved life jackets are permitted.

Minimum Age Requirements

Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times while on the premises.

Non-Smoking Policy

This is a smoke-free facility. Smoking and vaping are prohibited anywhere on the property, including parking areas.

Closings Due to Inclement Weather

For the safety of guests, the facility may close temporarily or for the day due to thunder, lightning, or other severe weather conditions.

Picnic Information

Guests are welcome to bring picnics; however, glass containers and alcohol are not permitted. Please clean up your area before leaving.

Quarry Exit and Re-entry

Same-day re-entry is allowed with a valid wristband. Please check out and return within the same operating day.

Diaper Rule for Young Swimmers

All children who are not toilet-trained must wear swim diapers while in the water. Regular diapers are not permitted.

Proper Swimwear Requirements

Only swimwear made of suitable water-friendly material is allowed. Street clothes, jeans, and undergarments are not permitted in the water.

Safety Concerns

For everyone’s safety, running, rough play, and unsafe behavior are strictly prohibited. Lifeguards are on duty but parents must supervise children.

Swim Accessories/Devices

Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved flotation devices are permitted. Pool noodles, inflatable toys, and large floats may be restricted.

Swimming/Diving Tidbits

Always enter feet first unless in a designated diving area. Please follow posted depth markers and lifeguard instructions.

Code of Conduct

Respect others at all times. Disruptive, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the facility without refund.
